Vintage Aboriginal Bark Painting

On offer is this Vintage Aboriginal Bark Painting. The bark painting has been attached to a piece of plywood which is starting to deteriorate (please see photos). We have left the plywood stay attached due to the fact that the artist name is on the back, this has been done with chalk. The writing is hard to read, we have been unable to find out who or where the artist originated from, we were told that this bark painting came from Northern Territory but that is all we actual know. The bark painting has been attached to the plywood with pieces of wire, in some places the wire has made the bark split, this is only where the wire is attached, this is mentioned for accuracy. There are a couple of marks on the actual painting, we have never tried to clean the marks as it could damage the painting itself. The bark painting measures 72cms x 26cms, the bark painting attached to the piece of plywood measures 91.5cms x 46cms.
