DESCRIPTION
Beautiful ash splint construction. Twisted sweetgrass upper edge. Steam bent chamfered ash handle. These baskets were made by the Micmacs and Passamaquoddys for the rich “rusticator” tourists that frequented the coast of Maine and eastern Canada in the early 20th century. Rich dark patina.

Buyer pays actual shipping cost, including insurance, in the continental USA, plus $1.50 handling to cover the cost of wrapping, peanuts, labels, etc. International buyers, contact us for a shipping quote. For payment, we accept PayPal, money orders, Visa and MC (through PayPal), bank or cashier‘s checks, or personal checks. For PayPal payments, credit card payments, money orders, bank or cashier‘s checks, we will ship one or two business day following receipt of the funds. Personal checks are held for 7 business days to insure clearance.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: We will ship internationally via US air mail parcel post, with a receipt from from the buyer, and internet tracking. All items will be INSURED AND DECLARED AT FULL PURCHASE PRICE. Please do not ask us to insure or declare for less than the purchase price.
We use biodegradable environmentally friendly packing peanuts. You can wash them down the drain or throw them on your garden.
