SIGNED NORMAN ROCKWELL "The Four Freedoms: Freedom Of Speech" Pen/Ink Signed
"Freedom from Want" (1 of 1) this is not a complete set!
The Four Freedoms were painted in the early 1940's and were used by the U.S. Government, Dept. of The Treasury as posters to raise funds for War Bonds during World War II
These posters were printed in three (3) sizes:
28" x 40" (folded after printing)
20" x 28" (folded after printing)
12 1/2" x 16 1/2" (unfolded/inside flat envelope)
You are viewing the middle sized poster 20" x 28" that was printed in 1943 and was folded after printing. Linen matted size measures 22" x 30"
Each poster was ink signed by the artist and came from the extensive collection of Bob Rapp.
These four posters are in their original condition and are free from most of the blemishes that are due to the age and condition of preservation, ect. All of these posters were printed on scrap grade paper since there was a war going on and paper was in short supply, ect. That is the reason so few of these posters survive today since the quality of the materials used in printing were not the best. This item has been preserved with it being professionally matted to a linen sheet material.
