Wonderful 1/2 Yard Long of Mother Hen with Baby Chicks in
Antique Gesso Frame, circa 1891.
The old wood frame is in great condition with normal wear, still very strong and sturdy.
Has its old original finish with a nice patina. All the gesso is in good condition
except for a few flakes here and there with a cool silver chain design around the opening.
It holds an original half Yard Long study print of
a Mother Hen and Baby Chicks!
Titled Hen and Chickens at the bottom center. Reads copyright 1891, Montague Marks,
23 Union Square, New York in the lower right corner.
Signed HELENA MAGUIRE in the lower left corner.
The prints overall condition is excellent for its age, with NO damage to call
The colors are perfect!! No fading!
TRUE OLD PIECE!! You will love it!!
Has the glass, cardboard backing , and long wire for hanging.
