This New England Diminutive Chest
is exceptional! The chest retains the original robin egg blue paint with the
appropriate wearing in the right areas. Then to add to this such great chest is
the hand stenciling in black. The stenciling is really that of hand painted, no
stencils where used. The chest is circa. 1860’s. and was purchased by us in the
Northeast. The chest is made of pine wood with square nails throughout. The lid
has the great decorations on the top with the letter “S” monogram. The chest
retains the great patina one would like to find, but does lack the handles. The
lock is still present. The chest is just as good as they come. Bid with
