Old Aboriginal Boomerang - Derby late 1800's

A truly beautiful boomerang from the Kimberley's of Western Australia. This boomerang was collected in the first decade of the 1900's and is rare not just for it's age but also the design it has engraved. The whole surface of the boomerang has very fine adzing while the underside has zig zag decoration. Boomerang's from this area rarely have any carved decoration. The boomerang is a fine example that would easily date to the 19thC. True to it's age and use it has a a few chips and cracks to it's thin edges. It measures 63cm in length and will cost $18US to the US with Airmail and $24US to anywhere in Europe.
