Thank you for considering this beautiful vintage Marantz 6300 / 6300n turntable. The "n" means that it is a multi-voltage model (it is currently outfitted with a US/CA 110-V plug, so is ready to go in our region.) I just deoxidized the potentiometers, so the unit is tracking excellently. Here is what you would get (I will try to disclose everything I know, but please ask questions if you have them):
- One Marantz model 6300n turntable unit, guaranteed in excellent operating condition or your money back
- Two cartridges
- One Shure model M55e believed but not guaranteed to be in good shape; it is ready-to-go
- One Shure model V15 Type IV, believed but not guaranteed to be in good shape, except that it needs a new stylus
- All original components except plug:
- Lid in good, but not flawless shape (it has a small, slight mark, apparently from being in contact with styrofoam for a long time)
- Tone arm and weighting system are in beautiful shape (not oxidized at all)
- All original feet intact
- Strobe light is operational
- Wooden chassis is in beautiful shape
- All visible stainless steel clad is in beautiful shape
- Platter is in beautiful shape
- Platter mat is in good, but not flawless shape (it has a few gouges)
- Hardwired RCA plugs and grounding wire
- 110-V (US and Canada compatible) plug
- Hardware mounting the ID tag in back is oxidized
- All original packing materials (I believe they are all there...) but shipped in a new, shock-insulated outer carton
Although I have tried to maintain the original "feel" of this machine by not altering it too much (only deoxing the pots, as mentioned before), you might attend to details like deoxing the ID tag hardware, replacing the stylus on the Type IV cartridge, buffing out the mark on the lid, replacing the plug head, etc. That said, I am selling this unit as "good-to-go" and not as a "project" or "parts" unit.
The warranty I offer is that the unit will come to you as described, will track and play well, and will "sound good" (like it should) with the working cartridge (you are free to try your own if you like.)
I am the proud original owner and will try to answer any questions you might have. Will ship to your preferred method.
Thank you for looking!!!
