24x30 "The Heartbreaker"
ARTISTICAL EXPEDITIONARY WILLIAM HAWKINS
sSquareTrade © AP6.Below are some paintings sold recently on eBay with their respective prices.

DESCRIPTION: This item is a large unframed 24x30 original oil painting on stretched canvas with 3/4 inch wide painted sides...can be hung as is and will look right nice like that. It has lots of thick paint and very expressive brush work as all expressive impressionistic realism should. I use no black on my pallette and very few tube colors (I'm using more than I used to)...a lot of mixing happens right on the canvas. You can see some of my technique on the YouTube video links ...and more info. about this painting on the blog link below.
INSPIRATION: Yes, I was inspired...while driving through west texas, to make this. The frame pictured below is for sale too. I mill these right here in my little desert studio out of select grade wood, 3.5 inches wide with an antiqued black finish. @ $149 ($10-$15 will be added for extra shipping) These frames make a great compliment to my paintings. I built high-end gilded frames for many years for many artisits and these are as unique and beautiful as they are striking...a real original. I give deals on multiple orders so be sure to inquire about pricing.
TITLE: The Heartbreaker
VALUE: Retail / gallery value on this painting would be $2400. (I don't like eBay fluff so I wouldn't say this if it weren't true. I've sold quite a number of big ol' paintings at retail prices in nice, swanky, high-end galleries over the years).
RESERVE: none

NEWS: I am now making frames to go with my paintings. They are solid, furniture grade hardwood or select grade clear fir in a black / antiqued finish. These are high-quality wide profile frames at great prices. ...very hard to find anything in this original yet simple design and profile...and very expensive when you do. Just write for details. One of my recent works was purchased by the Grand Canyon Association to hang in their permanent collection. It will be on display in the famous Kolb Studio Museum on the south rim of the canyon along with some of the best paintings ever made of that historic and beautiful place!
I use archival quality paints and substrates and finish all paintings with a quality varnish for protection and cleanability. I paint on standard size canvas panels so the frame you need to fit your painting will be easy to find.
