This is a fantastic oil on canvas, unframed, which measures a very decent 20 by 24 inches. It is absolutely typical for the work of one of the most famous politicians and British Prime Ministers of all time: Winston Spencer Churchill. He was a great fan of painting - almost exclusively landscapes and harbour scenes such as this - in both oils and watercolours - and often painted European subjects. He usually monogrammed his work on the front or verso as in this case. It dates from 1940 - 1950's I would guess. A really lovely work. Selling no reserve.
