Antique European Woman Lady Portrait Oil Painting NR !!

DESCRIPTION

THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION !!! You are bidding on a n Antique Portrait Oil Painting in Carved & Gilded Frame. This piece is a RARE FIND due to its size, age and beauty. It dates back to the late 18th or EARLY 19th Century. It is a Oil on Canvas that depicts a portrait of a beautiful Young Lady with beautiful pose and posture. This is by far one of the NICEST portraits I have ever brought to market. This painting was done with great detail in both color and clarity from the distinctive characteristics of her facial features from the raised cheekbones, to the nose and beautiful eyes, GORGEOUS dress and it is a very powerful portrait I may add. Her arms rested on a table with a rose pedal or flower and even the detail in her beautiful hands and beautiful dress with some floral stitch work at the top. The subject of the portrait is very unusual and a rare find. The artist was a TRUE MASTER, because we see great care and SKILL in the painting down to its finest details. With paintings of this caliber you can see the amount of care and attention the artist put into the piece and accomplished quite a bit here. I am not an art expert and took as many pictures as I can to make your own determination as this came from a private estate on Long Island. There is beautiful age to the canvas and at some point it was relined and restored and still shows natural craquelure throughout so this is an EARLY painting and may have some minor imperfections that needs some professional touch up and or be professionally cleaned. The actual frame is mortise and tenon construction with naturally aged patina on what I believe is the original stretcher which is extremely old and the canvas is very thick. The frame is newer possibly from the 20s with its original Bloomingdales label on it and is nicely gilded and has floral carved detail but is also an antique and has some wear and imperfection as well. This piece was VERY WELL made with quality that surpasses ANYTHING that is made today but Please understand that this is an antique and has some minor imperfections on it with its age as stated and shown in the pictures but overall its in excellent shape. This piece overall measures approx 27 1/2 inches wide and approx 33 3/4 inches high. ~ FRIDAY NIGHT AUCTION SALE ~ 7 DAYS ONLY ~

This is a NO RESERVE auction and since I am assuming all the risk by starting the bidding at $1 dollar you will have to pay for shipping. I will accept almost any form of payment but prefer to use PayPal.  We Can Bring the Furniture Directly into YOUR HOME !!!

Most of the items we sell are one of a kind antiques which must be handled with care, each piece is properly protected to ensure the safety of these items during transit time.  Please do not bid before getting a shipping quote, and include your zip code for the most accurate quote. We do offer other shipping options:

Using your own shipper:
You may use your own shipper, however please note that Antique Furniture Depot does not provide any packing services, and will not crate, wrap or pad your item, and a $25 handling fee will apply.

Local Pick UP:
Item(s) must be picked up within 30 days of auction ending, a $25 handling fee will apply, as well as NY State Sales Tax. Our warehouse hours are M-F 10am-6pm and we normally open one Saturday per month, please give us 72 hours advance notice prior to desired pick up date. Any items left after 30 days will be assessed $25 per week, per auction for storage. For all pick ups please bring your own blankets, pads and any other material you may need to secure your item(s). Any items left over 120 days, if there are no prior arrangements made, then the sale will be forefeited and no refunds will be issued.

 

On all painting shipments, insurance will be required. Shipping insurance does not cover any scratches, dings, or minor scuffs and is only for total damage or loss of item. Please provide us with a day and evening  phone number(s) so that once the items arrive in your state we can schedule your delivery in a timely manner. When the item(s) leave our warehouse you will be notified via email that the item has in fact been shipped and we will include the carriers name who will contact you directly to arrange exact delivery date and time.

 

 If you need your item(s) by a certain time we will do our best to accommodate you. Additional charges may apply.

 PAYMENT DETAILS

Payment is required within seven days of the end of an auction. We accept all major credit cards, cashier checks, money orders and personal checks but  our preferred method of payment is PayPal. You may also use your credit card with Paypal. All personal checks must clear before item(s) are shipped or picked up.  After the 10th Day any unpaid items may be sold to back bidders, relisted  on Ebay or sold locally.
