Beech Hard Wood Easel
This handcrafted beech wood, a very hard wood,
finished easel is adjustable & folding with brass plated and solid
brass hardware. Serves as either a floor easel or a table top easel. It's
portable for the traveling/outdoor artist with a shoulder strip and a handle.
(No Assembly Required.)
Beech is 1300 on the 'Janka'
wood hardness scale!
(Elm
another hardwood is 830. And most of the pine, and other unfinished easels
you'll
see on eBay (and locally) are between 300-550)
The hardness of a wood is the
biggest factor in overall quality and performance - effecting it's strength,
durability, longevity and 'tightness' of grain.
