ABOUT JOY
When I was nine years old, I was inspired by an article on Pompeii, Italy, in a
National Geographic Magazine. I developed a deep love for Pompeii's culture and storytelling frescoes.
Recently my parents mailed me this issue from their life-long magazine collection.
When I am teaching fresco workshops in Pompeii, I show this article
to my students, many who remember this exact issue.
In full circle, I am honored to have a fresco hanging
in the National Geographic Headquarters in Washington D.C..
I am so happy to paint frescoes each and every day.
Each fresco is a study that conveys my colors, emotions, and delight.
My spirit and heart are wide open to painting frescoes.
Each fresco is a process-filled journey of discovery. I am passionate
to create frescoes as a timeless form of beautiful, harmonious and spiritual communication.
This fresco is dedicated to inspire and connect with you,
painted from the depths of my soul.
