There's a gentle breeze blowing......the scent of oleander is in the air.....and a full moon that hangs over our dreams in the mist.
Last week, we pulled up our stockings and adjusted our bloomers (the gentlemen did their own thing) and we all dared to "Fly". We left all of our cares and worries behind us, soared high above the clouds and were reminded that the key to anything is our imagination......and our dreams. Dreams are so important....and Witch Maret reminds us that no matter what.....always keep your dreams alive! So.....kick off those sandals.....wiggle those toes and come dream a little with me!
I'd like to introduce to you....."Witch Maret". Maret (which means pearl) is an Enchanted Productions Original One of a Kind and will not be reproduced. She will arrive at your home signed, dated and smelling wonderful! She measures approximately 18 inches tall....24 inches tall with her hat and is securely attached to an antique beehive bobbin.... which has been painted ivory.
Maret is sewn of painted osnaburg muslin, features the Enchanted Productions 3-D eyes, with a needle sculpted nose and hand painted facial features.
Her curly white sheep's wool hair has been needle felted into place and styled into that dreamy, wind blown look.
Maret's witchy hat is ever so darling.....and removable....so you probably could wear it yourself!
The hat is sewn of painted osnaburg muslin and has been decorated with all sorts of lovely finds.....which include some harlequin pattern ribbon, vintage pearls, some gold bobble, a vintage rhinestone button, a pearl star-shaped button, a vintage pearl and rhinestone earring and bits of vintage metal thread lace.
It ties under her chin with vintage ivory ribbons and is held into place with two antique, pearl tipped hat pins.
Maret's "dreaming dress" is sewn of 100% ivory cotton (which has a silky sheen), is in the style of a Victorian mourning dress and features a double layered ivory tulle underskirt.
The neckline of Maret's simple dress has been accented with ivory and gold lace, looped ivory ribbon trim and a vintage black and gold glass button.
Her waistline has also been accented with more of the harlequin pattern ribbon, ribbon streamers and a great vintage rhinestone earring.
Maret holds in her hands...a curly piece of rusty star garland. I have added old typewriter keys to it, which spell out "Dream".
