This is a POTATO PRINT! I make every print by hand, carving the potato, applying acrylic paint to the cut design, and printing it. All shading and details you see in the finished picture are either cut or painted directly on the surface of the potato before printing. Each print is unique and slightly different, and therefore an ORIGINAL WORK OF ART.
** It is dated, numbered, and signed in pencil on the back, and printed in acrylic paint on high-quality acid-free paper, and measures 2.5 X 3.5". (The copyright watermark is not on the actual print, it is just here to protect the artwork.)
** THIS PRINT IS NUMBER 29 IN AN EDITION OF 30.
This is truly an original, NOT A REPRODUCTION!

Your artwork will come in a protective sleeve between two sheets of cardboard.
You are bidding on the original artwork, but the artist retains all copyrights.

About Artist-Pulled Prints:
Printmaking is the process of making artworks by cutting or scoring a block or plate, applying ink, and printing it by hand, normally on paper. The process is capable of producing multiples of the same piece, which is called a print. Each piece is not a copy but an original since it is not a reproduction of another work of art. Works printed from a single plate create an edition, usually each signed and numbered to form a limited edition.
Many artists are currently producing what they call "limited edition prints", which are not technically prints at all! Most are actually reproductions, produced by scanning or photographing a painting, then making multiple copies of the same image via a color copier or printer. Unfortunately, the use of the word "print" has become so widespread that many people purchase what they believe to be a collectible piece of artwork, when in reality it is simply a digitally reproduced image.
Always read the descriptins carefully- if it doesn't say that the artist actually made the print, then they didn't. Scanning it themselves and printing it out on their very own computer printer doesn't actually count! ;•) (Even if it is on acid-free paper with archival ink!) Please make certain you know what you are actually getting!
About ACEOs:
ACEO stands for "Art Cards, Editions and Originals". These cards have one main rule - they are 3.5 inches by 2.5 inches - the size of a trading card. Their small size and affordable price make these miniature artworks ideal for collecting and gift-giving. Some ACEOs are original paintings, some are hand-pulled prints, and others are reproductions that have been digitally produced. PLEASE read the descriptions carefully so you know for certain what you are getting.
