An Excellent American Water Color Portrait Of A Lady In "Puffy Sleeves" . She is just gorgeous sitting in a Red Upholstered Period Chair with a Plant at her right. Her Bonnet and Puffies are priceless !!!!!!!! The artist put a lot of Detail in this early Painting ,but managed to keep her Folky Look, it is an extremely well done Portrait. It is ready to hang on the wall ,and is a superb piece of American Folk Art . It has NO restorations of any kind. It was made in the New York Area ,in the very early 1800's. The Frame and Wavy Glass are from the same Period ,but I can't guarantee them to be original ,I feel strongly that they are ,but not 100% sure. The Hand Laid Paper is a little Wrinkled ,indicating the Painting has been out of the frame for some time. This can be taken out by most any framer worth their salt,and easily smoothed . I see a small seperation on the left hand edge about 3/8" long. It is in otherwise strong original condition. It measures 7 3/4" x 8 3/4" ( frame outside) x 4 3/4" x 5 3/4" (visible). I'm selling this Original piece of American Folk Art with NO reserve ,and only one penny ot start. High bidder at the end of the sale will be it's new owner. Insured shipping in the US only is 12.85.
